Chef/Owner, Sunthie Calalo, opened DAMPA (Tagalog for "small, modest adobe") Filipino Restaurant in August 2010. Castro Valley has since hosted its first and only to date, Filipino dining place and catering service.
As well as the regular frequent visits of diners from neighboring town, cities and celebrities from Philippines.
